NOWNESS presents the newly released Elemental film series in collaboration with CHANEL. Focusing on nature, paying attention to contemporary artistic practice and elements of science, this series of films utilizes conceptual visual language to sculpt virtual botanical worlds.
In the third episode of the NOWNESS Elemental series, Coco and team featured the Tubersoe flower. Olivier Polge, CHANEL’s in-house perfumer, once again served as our guide through the beautiful fields of Grasse, as he explained his impression of the tuberose flowers and their relations to “imagination”. How does one imagine the base, medium and top tones of a perfume? And how does scent sparks one’s imaginations? The venture of tuberose, examined and scruntized by the lens of X-ray photography, provides an artistic explaination through the voice of Polge and Chinese accalimed actress SiChun Ma.
